![]() In most cases, it has nothing to do with their own trials and errors, but they'll be happy to tell you how they feel because they need to justify their purchases that were sold on. You'll find most people on here will tell you something sucks and is garbage, and they are only saying this to you because they were told to. I know you're looking to the internet for its opinion but do realize that most of the time, the internet has a bad case of group think. I'll probably be ordering the XSC soon as well. Some people also go for the TLR-7sub on the 43x because they like how it looks sticking out past the barrel and as well as the assurance of still being able to shoot if an attacker is pressed against your light compared to your barrel. But it's just sooooooo damn expensive lol. But for something like the 43x, the XSC takes the win for me. If I had a 48MOS then yes I'd definitely go for the TLR-7sub since it's almost the same length as the barrel. ![]() This is where the XSC takes the crown for me. But what's the point of having a 43x with a TLR-7sub when it's just going to stick out lol sort of defeats the purpose of the 43x and its barrel length. It's half the price of the XSC, brighter, more robust and overall just better. I've done plenty of research and yes, the TLR-7sub definately out performs the XSC in all categories. I have a 43xMOS and I'm stuck between the XSC and TLR-7sub but leaning more towards the XSC. On my OWB guns and rifles, I’ve got 1k lumen lights with way more candela, and some of them stick out past the muzzle and all of them are bulky, but for those guns, I’m okay with that because my priority isn’t making them small and easy/comfortable to conceal. I paid $175 for my XSC which is only about $50 more than a TLR-7 sub which was a no brainer considering concealabity was my priority. I do have to carry my gun everyday, so I’d rather make that as comfortable as possible by keeping the overall package as small as it can be, and the TLR-6 and XSC don’t add any appreciable bulk while the TLR-7 sub does (on a 43x). With that being said, lumens/candela aren’t my priority for a ccw gun in the same way that they are on a rifle or an HD gun. ![]() In the already unlikely scenario that you need to draw your CCW, it is even less likely that you would need to use a light to identify your target (only practical exception I can think of is a movie theater). The TLR-7 sub brings the overall length of the holster to the same as the 48, so you may as well just get a 48 at that point. The only claim that I’m trying to make is that the TLR-7 sub is a bad pairing for the 43x if your goal is to keep the package small. Did you read what I just wrote? I’m not claiming the XSC beats the TLR-7 sub in lumens or candela, I’m claiming it beats it in weight and size. ![]()
